Infinity Membrane Revitalizes Big Kahuna’s Waterpark

Big Kahuna’s Water & Adventure Park in Destin, Florida, faced years of leaks and costly repairs as its concrete pools aged. In 2022, the park installed Poolside by CGT’s Infinity PVC membrane system, providing a permanent, watertight solution with a 15-year guarantee. The new surface not only eliminated water loss but also simplified maintenance and improved guest experience. Certified installers ensured precision work, and the success has led parent company Lucky Strike Entertainment to expand Infinity installations at its other waterparks. Industry experts say the system’s durability, flexibility, and ease of upkeep are making it a go-to choice for commercial pools and attractions.

“This is the start of the product being used in a waterpark experience,” Moore says. “I speak with other individuals in the industry who are looking at solutions for pool repairs, and this is a product I’ve recommended at least a dozen times. Come the start of every season, it’s so easy to clean. The staff likes that. Before, we were power washing the surface, pulling out old caulk, repainting. There was a lot of labor that went into it. Now we just go out and wipe the membrane down and refill the pools. It’s a permanent solution — thick membrane that minimizes leaks and labor — and since we’ve had the system installed, we’ve had no issues. It’s been a great experience.”
